| Nerd Fact: Steve Rogers was a scrawny kid eager to fight the Nazi's. He enlisted in the army. Failing to pass physical requirements, he was invited to volunteer for Operation Rebirth. A project intended to enhance US soldiers to the height of physical perfection. He is the only one to ever receive this treatment, as the laboratory was destroyed shortly after with all of the information about the program gone forever. Many have tried to replicate or rediscover the serum used on Captain America but all have fallen short (which has lead to the creation of many different super hero's/villains). He fought against the red skull and and Nazi party back in the day, but now fights against a criminal organization know as Hydra. His Shield is indestructible and is made of a adamantium(same as wolverine's skeleton)/Vibranium (A special space metal that absorbs energy)metal alloy. His side kick is know as Bucky. Bucky found out Captains secret identity and persuaded him to let him be his side kick. CA accepted and trained Bucky. Bucky later becomes the "Winter Solider". Much the same way Batmans first robin (3 robins) became "Night wing". | |
